That about sums it up. I haven't blogged since our 2nd night at the Olympics. It was too hard to lug anything around up there and it was so crazy busy that the days seemed to never stop. Needless to say, I got most of my sleep once we got back.
The other reason I have not blogged is that I have decided that after work I will no longer touch a computer. I feel like I need a break after I have been plugged in all day. Plus with it staying light out longer, it is an excellent opportunity to get my hiney outside for a walk with Sammy. Tonight is the exception to the rule as the sky has opened up and it is raining like mad.
Since my last blog I have done a 5k snowshoe walk for Susan G Komen Race for the Cure (Tubbs romp to stomp) where I was the top fundraiser and won a sassy new pair of Tubbs snowshoes. Because I raised over $1000 I will also be receiving a Keurig Coffee Machine. My mom has one and she loves it. I love coffee so I can't imagine it being bad.
I have also had my liver tumor and it appears that it is the FNH (Focal Nodular Hyperplasia or affectionately known as the big ass word) and that has made me absolutely joyous. That means that it can never become malignant and those are words I can live by.
Danielle and I are getting ready to head out for our first trip to the CA coast of the year. We are going to be spending Easter with my mom. For the first time in 11 years there isn't a "honey do" list waiting for me as she is hiring people to do jobs for her these days. It will also be the first time since my Father died in 2003 that I will be actually on vacation while I am in California. It is rare that my Mother shares me with anyone while I am there, but she may have to get over it this time.
I am excited to see all of my nephews & nieces (biological and otherwise). I am excited to walk barefoot on the sand in Pismo Beach.
I am excited for good mexican food & tri-tip.
Lastly, I am excited for the two days we will be spending in Monterey at the end of our trip.
I am truly just excited about the whole trip and wish it could be longer. Danielle's boss just does NOT bend!! Oh wait, she is the boss
After we get back from CA, we have a few weeks to work our asses off and then it is off to Montana. Danielle's grandmother passed away a few months ago and with the frozen ground they were waiting for the buriel service. So we are going to be doing that. During our trip we will be attending the baptism for little Ava. Dani is her Godmother so she is tickled pink about that. I am looking forward to giving Emma & Ava a little squeeze and walloping an unsuspecting Wade, Alvin OR Dee in cribbage. I have been practicing!! Plus one can never go wrong with wide open big Montana sky. There is something about it ... I just feel like I can breathe when I an there.
I have spent far too much time typing and now am getting a neck cramp. Looks like I need to step away again and unplug for awhile.
Besides, the rain has stopped and it is still light outside. Maybe Sammy & I can catch a quick walk before the rain starts back up again!
