I find it amazing how the minute my dog sees me he lights up and that tail starts wagging. Not amazing that he does that, but amazing how special it makes me feel. I love all my pets, don't get me wrong. But our cats, they just don't like us much since we brought this 4-legged devil spawn into the house. I understand that at one time they actually plotted to kill us but when they couldn't figure out how to pay the hitman or the mortgage they called it off. Now they figure they will make us insane for the rest of their lives.
Today was a trying day. Other than the typical work deadlines and recreation of a clients 2007 taxes and the amending of said taxes (14 returns in all and 35 hand written W2's) which makes my head feel like it wants to blow off, I also spent the entire day trying to get an answer from my Doctor. I called his office every hour until I got a response (I can assure you that they despise me right about now) When I told the last nurse I spoke too that I really didn't care if Dr Gan has had time to read the results or not, that he needs to make time and call me back because he CANNOT tell someone "we will know if what you have is something you will never have to worry about for the rest of your life OR if what you have is a precancerous tumor that will need to come out immediately" and expect them to be ok with just waiting around to find out. She said "I didn't realize ... I will have him call you immediately"
Needless to say I had my call before 5.
The results of the liver scan are this "I am pretty confident that what you have is the big ass word (FHN) but we still cannot rule out a precancerous tumor" What that means is that I could do another CT Scan and an MRI and possibly another test or I could just go in and have it biopsied and be done with it. Needless to say, although I am not fond of the idea of them shoving a needle in my side, it will be a heck of a lot cheaper and more efficient in the long run. I will admit however that it does nauseate me at the thought of it right now.
Anyway, I was feeling pretty ready to just go home and go to bed until I saw that crazy puppy of mine. Covered in bark from daycare and wagging his tail like crazy. He ran up and greeted me like I was the greatest thing he had ever seen.
Hug your dog sometime. If you don't have one ask you neighbor if you can hug theirs (unless it bites - bad idea).
